Welcome to OS! There are some very important things EVERYONE must keep in mind, or else you may be banned and/or have your order removed. [SUMMARIZED : Please read full news article!]
1. Please read each of the sticky threads before placing an order.
2. If you have images, please link to the source. This means, when you provide an image for the Equine Image forum (or the Canine, Human and Other forums), you absolutely MUST have the image linked to the page it originally came from.
3. All images must have a creative commons license. This means that the original photographer MUST have given permission for the image to be used for derivative works.
5. Make sure there is room for your order. Check the number of threads before clicking into the forum. Make a note of how many pinned topics there are, then subtract that number from the "Threads" column. Maximum: 15 orders.
6. When placing an order for Horseland or another SIM, please state that clearly.
Please follow these basic rules. Anyone who doesn't follow these orders may be temporarily banned and/or have their order removed. There will be tutorials on how to place a proper order, so please pay attention. If you're still unsure, please PM a SUPER ADMINISTRATOR, ADMINISTRATOR, or STAFF member.
We would also like to remind people that the maximum signature size is 500w x 250h in pixels.

| June 26, 2008 Update - STAFF & THE 'ABSENCE' BOARD... |
Today I went through the updates page and updated/added all of the members who had been accepted to staff but not yet changed -- the ones who are still around, that is. Congrats to you folks, and we're sorry for the wait!! Turns out even nerdy administrators have lives. :P
On that note, I also went through and deleted a ton of our lovely staff members. This was not based on your work ethic, talent, or any of that -- it's based rather off of your last login. I know many people post on the absence board that they will be gone for a short time, or even that their hiatus is indefinite -- but that does not mean you are 100% guaranteed to return with your position. Yes, you warned us, which is lovely -- but if you haven't bothered to even log on in three months, were you really expecting to stay on staff? We forgive you -- we understand that life gets hectic sometimes. But please do not yell at us for deleting you because you haven't been here for months, even if you left a note. Similarly, if it's only been one month but you never posted on the away board, it's not exactly convincing us to keep you.
The absence board is to inform us of timed departures -- indefinite hiatuses are understandable, and in some cases, we will add you right back if you return and tell us what happened. However, don't think that just because you posted on the absence board you can leave for three months straight and come back to your position, because when we're not being lazy admins, we will delete you for this.
So yes...there are some changes in staff. Thank you all for your understanding, and staff, keep up the good work. :] |
